The collection of "Gilles" Fontenille Pataud knives is widely regarded as some of the finest French pocket knives available for purchase.

The Gilles series exclusively offers knives that are handcrafted by a single artisan, guaranteeing a sense of pride in owning the finished product. These knives are proudly created in France with a 100% made-in-France certification.

Technical aspects:This 12 cm handle knife features a forged bee, a full-length hand chiseled spring and the famous shepherd cross. This knife also features a solid hardened blade stop to help prevent the blade's edge from making contact with the inner area of the spring.

What is a Forged Bee?To determine if a bee has been forged or soldered, inspect where it meets the spring below. If there are no gaps, it's likely that the bee and the spring were jointly forged. If there is a straight gap or ridge at that point, then it is a sign the bee was soldered.
